Ocean Conservation
Our oceans make up over 70% of Earth and it is more than clear that we cannot survive without them. They provide us with the air we breathe (coral reefs), the water we drink, and other resources that are necessary for human life on Earth. As the population continues to grow, the fishing industry has proven crucial in feeding the world, and the livelihood of over 500 million people in developing countries depends on fisheries and aquaculture. The current pandemic is dramatically helping to reduce ocean pollution by keeping people off our beaches and I believe it will inspire and motivate people to start taking action even after the pandemic has ended.
